SMS Terms
Effective Date: October 8, 2026
The short version: if you ask us to, we'll text you about your case. If you tell us to stop, we stop. We won't sell your number, spam you, or send you memes (tempting as it is). The long version, which the phone carriers require, is below.
Program Name and Description
Oliver Hadley Law, LLC ("OBH Legal," "we," "us") operates the Oliver Hadley Law Client Text Line. If you opt in, you may receive text messages from (504) 684-4444 about your inquiry or legal matter, including replies to questions you send us, consultation and appointment scheduling and reminders, requests for documents or information, and case status updates. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How to Opt In
You can opt in by checking the optional SMS consent box on our online message form, or by texting us first at (504) 684-4444. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of submitting an inquiry, hiring us, or receiving legal services.
Message Frequency and Costs
Message frequency varies based on your inquiry or matter. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts. You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and we won't text you again unless you opt back in. To opt back in, reply START.
Help
Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at (504) 684-4444 or obh@obhlegal.com.
Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Texting Is Not a Secure Channel
Text messages are not encrypted. Please don't text us confidential details about your case, like medical records, Social Security numbers, or settlement figures, or anything you'd regret seeing on a lock screen. Call or email instead. Texting with us does not create an attorney-client relationship; only a signed written agreement does that. And don't count on a text to meet a deadline. If it's urgent, call.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your information.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
