Out-of-State & Out-of-Town Clients
You don't have to be
in New Orleans.
Your lawyer already is.
Hurt on vacation in the Quarter. Wrecked passing through on I-10. Injured back home and can't find a lawyer who'll actually call you back. Give us a call — we can probably help.
Hurt in Louisiana, Live Somewhere Else
Fly home.
Leave the fight here.
Tourists slip on Bourbon Street. Conference-goers get hit by rideshares on Canal. Families passing through get wrecked on I-10. Your case belongs in Louisiana — you don't. Signed remotely, handled remotely, updated by phone, text, and video. The vast majority of injury cases resolve without a courtroom, and if yours needs one, that's my commute, not yours.
Hurt Somewhere Else Entirely
Wrong state?
There's a door for that.
Every state has a process for it: I lead your case, and a lawyer licensed in that state is engaged to sit beside me — a court procedure called pro hac vice admission. Local counsel comes at no additional cost to you, and any arrangement between lawyers is put in writing with your consent. Same attorney, same direct cell, same promise: no fee unless we win.
Arrested While Visiting
SHENANIGANS.
(you're from out of town)
Everyone knows you get into shenanigans in New Orleans. What nobody tells you at booking — and other lawyers won't — is that depending on the charge and the court, you may not have to come back to deal with it. The charge won't disappear because you flew home. But Louisiana law lets your attorney stand in your place for misdemeanor pleas, and certain felonies can be resolved the same way. We've done exactly that for out-of-town clients — misdemeanors, and even some felonies, resolved without them ever stepping back into a Louisiana courtroom.
And you wouldn't be hiring a tourist-trap lawyer: you'd be hiring a former public defender for Louisiana's 40th Judicial District who has defended everything from homicide cases to traffic tickets.
Whether a personal appearance is required depends on the charge, the court, and the judge. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
